Dr. Unjali Malhotra, MD, CCFP Women's Health FCFP NCMP

Dr. Unjali Malhotra is a Certified Menopause Practitioner (through the internationally accredited organization - the North American Menopause Society) and a Primary Care Physician with extensive training and expertise in Women’s Health.

She graduated from Family Medicine in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and went on to create and complete the Women’s Health fellowship program at the University of Manitoba, focusing on contraception, gynecologic oncology, and general gynecology. She went on to work at the Bay Centre for Birth Control at the Women’s College Hospital in Toronto and assisted in the creation and improvement of women’s clinics throughout Ontario.

She moved to Vancouver in 2008 when she took the role as Medical Director of Options for Sexual Health British Columbia (formerly Planned Parenthood) (2008 - 2013).

She is affiliated with BC Women’s Hospital, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC where she is also Program Director of the UBC Women’s Health Residency Program.   

She is the creator of a Women’s Health training selective on reproductive health for family practice residents at UBC and a provincial HPV program. 

She is currently the Women’s Health Medical Director at the First Nations Health Authority.

Her current research interests surround health advocacy and access in Women's Health 

Dr. Malhotra is now available at Westside Medical Associates to do paps - HPV testing and STI checks.
